We founded Change How We Engage (CHWE) to give our users a better user experience during those important months leading up to each election. Our job is to provide you with as much information as possible, in a format that’s useable. From there, you make all the decisions.
Do you ever get your voter guide or sample ballot in the mail and think, “Who even are these people?” Or, how about, “Superior Court Judge of District what, now?” If you do, you're in good company.
The CHWE mobile app takes all the guesswork out of election season, putting all of the necessary information you need in the palm of your hand through a clean, easy-to-use interface.
National and state elections seem to get all the attention, but real change starts in our neighborhoods. The CHWE app pulls in information on every issue and candidate on your ballot - from local city ordinances and council members on up – so you can make an informed choice at every level.
The presidential debates that take place every four years are a complete circus. We think it’s time to change the format to one that promotes substance over swagger, and enable the same type of discussion at all political levels.
Candidates for any election agree to have an online debate using our platform and collaborate with the CHWE team to agree on debate topics, debate intervals and debate video length.
CHWE mobile app users can search, view, save and share debate videos, in app or online, as they are posted. Users can also enable automatic notifications on candidate debates that relate to their ballots so they never miss an update.
Candidates create and upload videos on the agreed topics at the agreed intervals, which we'll post to the platform simultaneously.
Candidates can share the debate videos with their base via the CHWE website.
Candidates will be given variety of tools to share debate videos through the existing online channels in which they already communicate with their base.
Are you a local representative who’d like to better inform voters by engaging in an online debate? Are you a constituent who’d like to recommend your candidate(s) for our platform?
CHWE depends on grass roots engagement. We know that big changes start small, in our homes, neighborhoods and communities and those small changes start with you.
Here are some ways you can get involved and start making a difference to voters in your community and in our country.
Change How We Engage (CHWE) is made up of a small but mighty team of concerned Americans keen on using modern design and technology to improve our political discussion. We’re dedicated to engaging and energizing citizens to both engage and vote in an informed manner — especially in local and regional elections where their votes matter most.
